Fifth Avenue, 5AM
So this is the first book I read of the new year. I read a review of it on Tumblr (duh) and asked Josh for it for Christmas. It was really good. And it made me want to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s again, now paying attention to all the painstaking details that went into making the movie. It was interesting to read how this movie presented the dawn of a new era in movies (it’s ok to like Holly Golightly, even if she’s a hooker….she’s a nice hooker, and it’s the 60’s, we’re moving forward).
Also fun fact: Marilyn Monroe was almost cast as Holly Golightly. Can’t even imagine.
